AirPods Pro Firmware {Updates} Download Guide

AirPods Pro Firmware

Apple launched AirPods Pro last fall and periodically releases firmware updates generally, we don't know what is changed because Apple doesn't make release notes available for this type of update. This latest iteration, version 3A283 is a notable exception, though, because it brings Spatial Audio.

AirPods Pro are wireless Bluetooth earbuds created by Apple, initially released on October 30, 2019. They are Apple's mid-range wireless headphones, sold alongside the base level AirPods and highest end AirPods Max.

AirPods Pro uses the H1 processor found in second-generation AirPods but adds active noise cancellation, transparency mode, automated frequency profile setting, IPX4 water resistance, a charging case with wireless charging, and interchangeable silicone tips.

Apple is bringing new features to AirPods and AirPods Pro in iOS 14, tvOS 14, and macOS Big Sur, and apparently, they require a firmware update. If you have AirPods Pro, you may soon notice that they have updated to firmware version 3A283. When they do, it will enable two new features for those using the iOS 14 or tvOS 14 betas: spatial audio and automatic device switching.
